Edited * I strongly urge anyone considering using this company to check Companies House records before handing over money to ensure you understand who you are dealing with. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, including filing a case through the Enforcement of Judgments Office, the Ava has still failed to respond * I paid in full for the Pathways into Aesthetics course that was never delivered. Although sessions were repeatedly cancelled, reportedly due to personal circumstances, the service was not rescheduled within a reasonable timeframe, nor was a refund provided. While I sympathise with any personal difficulties, this is ultimately a business transaction, and I was left out of pocket with no course and no resolution. I made multiple attempts to communicate and resolve the issue, but unfortunately had to escalate the matter legally. This experience has been stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend this company based on how my case was handled.

Would warn people before booking this course that they have not got the staff to cover the courses when booked I've been cancelled 2 times short notice on the day and now have to go down the road of a small claims court to retrieve my money back as I have been refused a refund. There isn't sufficient staff to cover and it's a complete letdown I have missed out on 2 full days wages due to being cancelled last minute and given a date months down the line which has lost me out on more money due to not being able to practice the service I was suppose to be trained in 2 months ago. I paid 979 which is a lot of money to go to the loss of.

Avoid Ava Clinic Belfast if you are serious about your aesthetics career. I completed and passed my Level 7 Aesthetics qualification—both theory and practical—in January 2024. 18 months later, I am still waiting for my certificate. This is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of professionalism and respect for students. Ava Clinic issues this qualification through Qualifi, an awarding body regulated by Ofqual, yet neither Ava Clinic nor Qualifi has taken responsibility for this failure. Despite multiple follow-ups, numerous phone calls and messages. All fell on deaf ears! I’ve received nothing but empty promises and vague excuses. This delay has impacted my ability to move forward professionally. If you value your time, money, and future, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This has been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Level 7 Qualification Dear Thomas, I must say, this is the most prompt response I have received from you in over a year. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thoughts candidly. My review of the situation is entirely honest, and while I am deeply disappointed by your defensive response, I cannot say I am surprised by the ongoing lack of accountability and transparency regarding this matter. It appears you are attempting to conflate the business of the training academy with my personal training—two entirely separate issues. Allow me to refresh your memory: I paid £2,500 for the Level 7 qualification through Ava Academy. This fee reflected the fact that I am a qualified nurse with 20 years of experience, have been practicing aesthetics for 14 years, and have taught aesthetics for 5 years. Given my background, it was agreed that I would not require any additional training or support from the academy. The agreed fee covered my registration with Qualifi, the provision of the Level 7 written assessment questions via email, the completion of the written component, followed by the practical examination in Belfast, with the final verification to be submitted to Qualifi. I completed the written assessment, which was subsequently forwarded to you after several months. I then traveled to Belfast not once, but twice, to complete the practical assessment—my first visit being unsuccessful due to the absence of sufficient models. All required components were completed by early January 2024. Since that time, I have reached out to you on numerous occasions seeking updates. You confirmed to me that my assessments had been verified and submitted to Qualifi. I have documented proof of all communications related to this process. The last correspondence I received from you was in July 2024, in which you stated that my work had been sent to the verifier. In October 2024, you informed me that the work remained with the verifier. Subsequently, you advised me that you were awaiting the certificate from Qualifi. However, upon contacting Qualifi directly, I was informed that they had never received any submission from Ava Academy pertaining to my work. As a result, I have now filed an official complaint with Qualifi to either secure a refund or obtain my certificate. It is disheartening that matters have escalated to this point, but even the most patient individuals have their limits. I therefore confirm that the above statement is accurate. I must also stress that the continued lack of accountability and honesty surrounding my Level 7 qualification falls significantly short of any acceptable standard of educational practice and fails to inspire any trust or confidence in your academy.
