Excellent service: Sarah had clearly read the context I sent before my first appointment and already had a tentative diagnosis when I went for my first visit, which she confirmed when she saw the foot in person, so the visit was efficient; I felt informed and in good hands at all points of the treatment; everyone was very kind to me in all interactions (Sarah, receptionists, other staff); appointments were on time, and my e-mails were answered quickly. Definitely recommend

Great team at Zest Podiatry. I had a stubborn foot issue that had been bothering me for years, and it was finally resolved thanks to Charlotte’s expert care. Really pleased with the outcome – highly recommend!

My son had some very stubborn verucas on his foot. All the over the counter medications we tried did not work. We went to another clinic and tried two different methods there, but they also did not work. The second one was a laser treatment, but my son (who is autistic) could not tolerate the pain or the lengthy process required to prepare for just one treatment. For a while we gave up, then I did more research, and learned about the SWIFT treatment, which had not been available at our first clinic, but was available at Zest. But because of my son's low tolerance for pain and disruption, I wanted to make sure that it was the right procedure and that Zest was the right place. When we contacted Zest, we met with Dr. Sarah McBride, who listened carefully and thoughtfully, and then consulted with her colleagues at the practice to find the best treatment options given our circumstances, and whether SWIFT could work. The result was the use of SWIFT at a lower setting for a longer period of time. Needless to say, this approach successfully resolved my son's verucas and pain! Hence this review, which I should have written months ago, but am writing now so that anyone in our position will know what a marvelous job Zest and Dr. McBride did. Dr. McBride was unfailingly kind, friendly, and understanding of my son. She was thorough in coaching him how to deal with the discomfort that the treatment necessarily causes, and in being encouraging and optimistic without creating any false hopes. The clinic itself is a cheerful setting without feeling too sterile or foreboding. The SWIFT treatment itself is amazing. It is essentially a number of zaps from a specially calibrated microwave instrument designed to stimulate the body's immune system to recognize and deal with the veruca virus. It took about 10 months, although treatment was not every month as a rest time was required between treatments. We knew we were using a very low setting, and so that the time could take longer. The treatment itself in the office was straightforward and did not take a long time or a lot of preparation, which was much different from prior treatments we had done. We were just starting to wonder whether to keep going when results started becoming apparent. After that, it was rapidly clear that the treatment had worked. I cannot begin to describe the joy that comes with having a successful treatment for a longstanding problem. One good thing about writing this review 3 months after ending treatment is that I can report that my son's verucas are still gone. I am really glad that I spent some time researching solutions as our first clinic did not mention or offer SWIFT and so I had never heard of it until I looked at other clinics. We initially chose to check Zest out because it had SWIFT, was convenient for us in Oxford, the website itself was cheerful and informative, and the staff credentials looked good. When we went for a consult, we noticed the kind attitude of the staff, the pleasantness of the surroundings, and were struck by how thoughtful and approachable Dr. McBride was, and especially how sensitive she was to accommodating our son's special needs. Our subsequent appointments only reinforced these impressions. Clearly, I highly recommend Zest and Dr. McBride. Should we have any other needs for podiatry care, they would be our immediate choice.
