I Had surgery here in March 2022 with Dr Hardy. I cannot fault the service I received from initial consultation to the final after care appointment. All staff I encountered were friendly and professional throughout my appointments and surgery. I woke up starving and asked for a sandwich (still a bit drowsy) and one arrived within around 10 minutes! I was not rushed out of hospital, I was quite eager to get home to bed but the nurse wanted me to stay longer which I did. I’m shocked to read some of the negative reviews. I’m so pleased with my results, three years on too. Two of my friends have also attended here for the same surgery with no issues. I would recommend and would go back if needed.

After years of being unhappy of my side profile I booked in for a consultation with Dr Dutta for chin lipo. When I walked into the clinic it was spacious clean and welcoming. Carol on reception was the first person I saw and she greeted me and was super polite and friendly, I instantly felt relaxed about my decision to at least speak to someone about fixing my biggest insecurity. I met with Dr Dutta, he was lovely and before going in to the detail trying to sell me something he asked why I was there, why I wanted the surgery and I felt like I was pitching to him not the other way around which was nice to not feel pressured and talked at! He wanted to fully understand why I was wanting to change my appearance telling me I had a happy face and my insecurity was something others wouldn’t look at and notice. But after explaining and him understanding he suggested chin lipo with necktite, something I hadn’t heard of but he explained the benefits of tightening the skin after lipo, and showed me in the mirror the potential that could be achieved. The most important thing he reiterated was he was not able to achieve perfection, which I was totally happy with him being upfront and not overpromising something that couldn’t be achieved. He didn’t want to take my money and run he gave me all the facts and information about the procedure, the aftercare and told me to go away and think about if I really wanted it. There was no pressure at all, and I felt like he genuinely cared about his work and wanted to get to know me. After this I went through to a nurse who gave me the price and availability again with no pressure to book there and then. After speaking to my husband and having a long think over the weekend I decided I really wanted the surgery and after other consultations with other clinics New Birkdale was the place to do it due to the staff putting me at ease and being so caring! I went in for surgery and everything was explained again, I had a lovely nurse who looked after me before and after surgery and the anaesthetist also talked with me about my concerns of going under as I’d never been put to sleep before. Upon coming round I was immediately sick and the 2 nurses who were at my side monitoring me were immediately there to reassure and calm me down and I was given an anti sickness medication and left to sleep for a couple of hours. After a came round I was given toast and coffee and only let out once they were happy I’d eaten passed water and had someone to pick me up. Not once did I feel rushed to usher me out as soon as possible- the care and compassion shown by the nurses were amazing! I’ve had a couple of follow ups where I am healing very nicely. I was given advice and massaging techniques and was told 3-6 months is when I would expect to see results due to swelling. I’m 8 weeks since surgery and already seen a huge improvement where I have been on holiday with my husband and felt confident enough to have a photoshoot with my husband, even buying one showing off my new side profile! I have another follow up appointment with Dr Dutta in a couple of weeks and cannot wait to thank him and all the team for my wonderful experience and giving me my confidence back. I’m so glad I booked that initial consultation just to see what was possible!

Mr De Gado is a fantastic surgeon. He is kind, understanding and listened to me during my consultation . I had Upper Blepharoplasty. I am 4 weeks post op. Mr De Gado is, very caring. I felt I was in safe hands from the day I had my consultation with him. The results are amazing. It's made such a difference to face. All the staff are lovely and took time to talk to me. Jodie my patient coordinator is such a lovely and approachable person. Carol on reception is very welcoming and a lovely person to talk to I was so nervous on the the day of surgery as I decided to have General Anaesthetic. The anaesthetist put my mind at rest and took time to talk to me, she was such a lovely person. Every member of staff I came in to contact with was highly professional but super friendly and caring. I would highly recommend Mr De Gado and the New Birkdake Clinic to anybody who is considering surgery
