Following a meniscectomy in 1973, I developed osteoarthritis of the medial compartment, which meant I needed a partial knee replacement. This was performed at the end of January this year, by Mr Duffy. What a fantastic result! I am now just short of 5 months post op, and my knee is pain free and fully mobile. I got back to walking my dogs 5 miles a day, only 5 weeks after the surgery. Mr Duffy is not only a fantastic surgeon, but also has great interpersonal skills, which is essential, in my opinion, when discussing options for knee pain management.

Mr Beard gave me a new knee 4 years ago , I have not seen anyone else who has such a neat little scar as the one he gave me after such an operation , also I have really great range of movement in that leg. I'm hoping when my other one needs doing that he will be the person doing it . Louise Carter
