Damira Oxford Dental Practice

Normally I have a great experience with this dentist but recently I had a dental appointment lasting less than a couple of minutes where the dentist barely looked at my teeth and then sent me on my way. I think i was in the chair for less then 2 minutes. I emailed the surgery to ask if i could see and alternative dentist. no reply, givne the lack of any reply I put in a complaint on the phone, no reply or even acknowledgement within 5 working days- so i doubt nothing will happen. Would not recommend

I do not even want to give it one star. I attended 3 or 4 years ago and went because my partner went.... so checkup the receptionist did not have a idea what she was doing charged me £27.40 .. . left me standing after calling me. Bad start! Dentist arrives after 5 mins wait, then tells me I have not been for years! He then says I need an xray, the holder would not go in my mouth.... and I then started to gag ....He then got a small holder after I said it was STILL too big and he did not explain. Never had a problem before. He never explained what he was doing at any time! I am not a dentist... Then then tried to force the second holder in that would not go in either. He then told me I can go to the hospital it will take 2 years . He then prodded around with a point implement type item and a mirror and prodded my gum with the point it hurt and I gagged again. He then told me I need to see a hygienist when was the last time I saw one. When i had my tooth rebuild which lasted a few months by studental and fell apart 1/2 left.... The last dentist had actually cleaned my teeth he then intermated he had not.... ok... I lie too. So I will book you in with a hygienist ok out to reception. receptionist Male said yes! I tell him I have to see a hygienist I am told ... I was going to have to pay £40 up front by that time I had had enough Rude scruffy staff dentist needed lessons on being polite. assistant needs to be tidy. I am not a fan of dentists at the best of times... but meet greet and seat explain and be polite did not exist... seating outside was very poor. and the place looked shabby not like the last time I went. 4 years ago. I did explain I struggled with dentists but this was appalling service and treatment.

This is an excellent dental practice, I attended for root canal treatment. The dentist Juni was great, she took time to tell me what she was going to do, what might not work, and what might be needed. She put me at ease and answered any questions I had. I was treated for nearly an hour and never felt any pain. Needless to say I am delighted with the treatment.
