Went into the Brent Cross Boots not planning to buy a thing, but the lovely girl there—Martina? I think that was her name ..was so kind and convincing I ended up getting the collagen bottles And I must say, I feel better already! At my age I need all the help I can get, she really made this old lady feel very special

I had a very disappointing experience at the Boots store in Staples Corner recently, and I feel it’s important to share. I needed to return an item that had just gone a couple of days past the return window. I completely understood that this might be an issue, but I hoped there might be some discretion or at least a conversation. The staff member I spoke to told me that only the manager could authorise an exception and said they would go and speak to her. What shocked me most was what happened next: the staff member returned and told me that the manager, Shireen, refused to come out and speak to me at all — simply saying “no” to the return through someone else. I had asked specifically to speak with her, and she declined to even face the customer. I found this behaviour incredibly unprofessional and frankly quite rude. Regardless of the policy, a manager’s role is to engage with customers and show a level of respect and accountability — not to hide in the back and send messages through staff. I wasn’t being aggressive or unreasonable, just trying to speak with someone in charge, and was dismissed without even a conversation. This kind of treatment makes you feel like your custom isn’t valued at all. Boots should expect better from their management team, especially in a busy location like Staples Corner.
